Age Date Change

Dear Coaches, Parents and Players,

Last night the Westurban Board of Directors moved the age cut off date from August 1st to May 1st. The change will take place immediately and will be used for the 2005 fall season. The effect of the change is this, whatever age you are on April 30th each year will determine what division you will be allowed to play in. For example if you are 12 on the 30th and turn 13 on May 1st you will be allowed to play in the 12 year old division if you choose.

Westurban advises that before you make changes, that you consider all the options and consequences of those actions. Westurban is strongly recommending that you take into account what is the players “class year” at school and try to keep players on teams with kids they are currently going to school with as long as the player can legally play in that age group, even if it means that the player may be playing up a division.

All other Westurban Rules regarding team formation and recruiting will remain the same. If you need a copy of the rules use this link HERE . If you have questions please call or email Eric before you start making decisions regarding your team and its players.
